I spoke with one of the compute guys at work this afternoon (the same one who's started watching Supernatural) and asked about his experience with Vista SP1. He said he'd had no problems. I told him about mine, and then had the realization that I hadn't turned off the computer after I installed SP1. The computer did reboot a couple times, but perhaps it didn't dump its memory. So I just tried installing some fonts, and it worked! \o/
In other news, I am taking the rest of the week off. It turns out I have a few doctors appointments this week, and need to have some blood work done. So instead of popping in & out of work, I just going to take the rest of the week off. Besides, I think my mental state needs it.
And now I'm off to play. Oh! I need to find my Jared in pink icon for

I've found that whenever I have problems with Vista on my computer, and I can't do a system restore, they resolve without any of my help within a day or two. No idea why.
I was going to mention on your other post that when you back up your personal files, those are a separate kind of restore than system restore, so they were probably still okay/accessible.
Yeah, the guy at work had a name for it, the ol' Microsoft [something] but I can't remember what it was. :(
I really want to create a system recovery disk, but of course, now that I want to, I can't find out how. All I get are the backup & restore options. Any tips (now that I know you have Vista)?
